These terms cover your use of this website. They are not the contract for your job. Tile work is agreed separately, in writing, before anything starts.

Using this site

You are welcome to read this site, print pages from it and share links to it. You may not copy the photographs, the written descriptions of our work or the layout of these pages for use on another website or in another company's advertising.

The photographs

Photographs on the portfolio and service pages are of work carried out by Precision Tile unless a page says otherwise. Where an image is used to illustrate a type of tile or a room rather than a specific finished job, we label it as such. Tile is a natural and manufactured product in the same room: shade, veining and size vary between batches, and what you receive will not be pixel identical to a photograph on a screen.

Estimates and quotes

Nothing on this site is a price or an offer to contract. We do not quote from a photograph or a phone call alone, because the things that decide the cost of a tile job are underneath what you can see. We visit, we look at the substrate, and then we put a figure in writing.

A written quote is valid for the period stated on it. A quote covers the scope described on it and nothing else. If we open a floor or a wall and find rot, movement, failed waterproofing or a substrate that will not hold tile, we stop, tell you what we found, and give you the revised figure before we carry on. You decide at that point.

The work itself

Any job we take is governed by a separate written agreement between you and Precision Tile that sets out the scope, the materials, the price, the payment schedule and the timescale. If anything in that agreement conflicts with these website terms, the agreement wins.

Home improvement work in New Jersey is regulated, including rules about written contracts, changes to the scope of work and your right to cancel. Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, the Contractors' Registration Act or any other consumer protection law. Where a term here would conflict with one of those rights, that right applies and the term does not.

Materials

Where you supply the tile, we will tell you before we set it if we believe it is wrong for the room, but the choice and the quantity are yours, and we cannot warrant a material we did not select. Where we supply materials, manufacturer warranties on those products pass to you, and we will hand over the documentation.

Our workmanship

We stand behind our own installation. The terms of that, including how long it runs and what it covers, are stated in your written agreement, because they depend on the work being done. A workmanship warranty does not cover damage caused by structural movement outside the tolerances a tiled surface can take, water reaching the assembly from somewhere we did not install, impact damage, or later work by somebody else.

Limits

This website is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that every page is free of error, or that the site will always be available. We are not responsible for loss arising from a decision you take on the strength of a web page rather than on a written quote or the advice we give you in person. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Where we link out, we do not control that site and we do not endorse everything on it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when they last changed. The version in force for your job is the one published when your written agreement was signed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of New Jersey, and the courts of New Jersey have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
